High-impact learning experiences/programs are an integral part of a student’s development. This session will arm advisors with tools to connect students to different high impact learning opportunities available on and off-campus in the areas of Internship, Cooperative Education (Co-op), Campus Involvement, Shadowing, Research and International Experiences. Early student engagement with the Career Center is critical to post graduation first destination success, and we will connect advisors with ways for students to better access these opportunities. It is important to acknowledge the different needs of students as they relate to HIE and help students translate the transferable skills gained from their experiences. We aim to provide language and value to advisors in assisting students as they work through viable options for them based on academic goals and their lived experience.
